AMELANCHIER grandiflora ´Prince William´ (= canadensis ´Prince William´)

An up to 2.5 m tall, multi-trunk shrub with a broad, upright, compact growth. Leaves are bronze-coloured early in the season, turning a spectacular orange-red in autumn. Flowers abundant, creamy white, 2 cm in diameter, appearing end April / early May, borne in large and dense racemes. Fruits are the largest amongst the serviceberries, about the size of blueberries, 1.2-1.5 cm in diameter, with a very good taste. A top cultivar that not only attracts attention due to its uniquely large yields. BI, D, H, R, S, St. Zone 5a.
