A large, upright shrub or small tree with wide-growing branches; leaves dull darkgreen turning purplish-brown in autumn with light greyish-green underneath; flowers silvery white, very large, appearing end of April or beginning of May; numerous red fruits turning dark purple when ripe from the beginning of July, especially tasty - a sturdy and fruitful flowering shrub with beautiful autumn colours which grows in all garden soils and which fruits are also called “natural pralines”.
