Wild fruit on trend
Sambucus nigra ‘Black Tower’® is the first red-leaved elderberry in ‘Fastigiata form’. The new variety is characterized by pink-white, lemon-scented flowers. Best ornamental shrub at the National Plant Exhibition 2010, England. Versatile use as patio and columnar fruit, for planters, small gardens and as an exclusive hedge.
Other Sambucus species and attractive wild fruit genera such as Aronia, Hippophae, Lonicera and Lycium can be eaten raw as snack fruit or are suitable for culinary processing thanks to their valuable ingredients and high vitamin content. For example: fruit spread, juice, soup, syrup, liqueur, tea, sparkling wine, muesli ingredient, cocktails, etc. .
