A compact, broad and bushy growing cultivar (up to about 0.5 m tall) that produces runners. Leaves ovate, pointed and appear early in the season. Flowers are numerous, borne on flat panicles up to 10 cm in width, pink to blue depending on soil reaction. A very valuable, totally hardy, free-flowering cultivar for mass planting that deserves a widespread popularity. Also a magnet for insects. B, K, S, St. Zone 5b.
