A selection with large and freely borne fruits from the `Höhere Bundeslehr- und Forschungsanstalt für Gartenbau, Wien-Schönbrunn`; fruits about 24 to 30 mm long and 13 to 20 mm thick, fruit weight is about 5.6 g (the wild type carries only 2.0 g); worth mentioning is the 14% sugar content and the relatively high vitamin C content (400 to 550 ppm ascorbic acid) - a lovely, undemanding ornamental and wild fruit plant for the processing of fresh fruit juices, syrup, jams, fruit wine, liquor and `Dirndl`-schnapps.
